Regional Groups
IFSL Regional Advisory Groups study and pursue opportunities in the most promising overseas markets. Only IFSL members can join these groups, although we may extend an invitation to a potential member to attend a group meeting.
Primarily the groups exist to form a focal point for activity relating to the region concerned.
This can mean meeting key visitors from abroad such as senior Government figures up to and including Heads of State and Ministers. In addition, the groups are regularly briefed on the economy, politics and opportunities in the markets concerned by both UK and overseas diplomatic personnel.
IFSL also puts group members’ names forward to other organizations who seek IFSL’s input on practitioners to invite to their own events. These organisations include the Mansion House, City of London, UK Government Departments, Foreign Diplomatic Posts in London.
Groups also have an important role to play in planning for Lord Mayoral visits to countries coming under their purview.
Please contact the relevant IFSL staff member (click on the group name below for details) for further information on the activities and details of forthcoming meetings of the Regional Advisory Groups.
Regional Advisory Groups are as follows:
Asia Pacific
Central and Eastern Europe
China
(jointly with the China Britain Business Council)
Commonwealth of Independent States
Latin America
Middle East and North Africa
South Asia
Sub-Saharan Africa
